This is the first report on this matter intended to inform the Committee as to what WDGPH has been working on with respect to this legislation.

The new WDGPH website will be AODA accessible.
Committee directed L. Bowden to look into whether you can speak to the new website and if it can respond as well as if our elevators announce each floor.

The Emergency Preparedness Health & Safety Officer is a new position for WDGPH. WDGPH never had Canadian Registered Safety Professional trained staff prior to November 2015. In most agencies, this is 2 separate roles.

The Health & Safety component is for employees and the Emergency Preparedness component is for both employees and the communities.

WDGPH uses the IMS system for emergency preparedness situations.

On-going management training is taking place. PHO tabletop exercise is scheduled for June 14/16.
