September 19, 2020 – In response to growing numbers of COVID-19 cases in the province, the Government of Ontario has announced limits to unmonitored and private gathering sizes – effective immediately. As of today, the following changes to group sizes must be observed in Wellington Dufferin Guelph:
- 10 people at an indoor event or gathering (previous limit of 50); or
- 25 people at an outdoor event or gathering (previous limit of 100).
“I support this decision by the Provincial Government,” said Dr. Nicola Mercer. “The rising cases in our region are concerning. We must use all the tools at our disposal to reduce the spread of COVID-19.”
