Ottawa, July 16, 2019 - Northfork Bison Distributions Inc. is voluntarily recalling ground bison products from the marketplace due to possible E. coli O121 and O103 contamination. Consumers should not consume the recalled products described below:
- Natural Frontier Foods - Bison Ground Meat (280 g)
- Sensations - Extra Lean Ground Bison (280 g)
- La Terre des Bisons - Bison Ground (lean) (1.5 lb)
- Northfork Canadian Bison Ranch - Bison Ground Regular (1.25 kg)
- Northfork Canadian Bison Ranch - Bison Ground Regular (4.54 kg/10 lb)
- Northfork Canadian Bison Ranch - Bison Ground 10 lbs Regular (4.54 kg)
- Northfork Canadian Bison Ranch - Bison Ground 1 lb Regular (1 lb)
- Northfork Canadian Bison Ranch - Bison Burger 8 oz x 20 (2 lb)
- Northfork Canadian Bison Ranch - Bison Burger 4 oz x 4 (1 lb)

If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor.
Check to see if you have recalled products in your home. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.
Food contaminated with E. coli O121 and O103 may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.
Symptoms:
- Nausea.
- Vomiting.
- Mild to severe abdominal cramps.
- Watery or bloody diarrhea.
In severe cases of illness, some people may have seizures or strokes, need blood transfusions and kidney dialysis or live with permanent kidney damage. In severe cases of illness, people may die.
