It’s #NationalNursingWeek; a time to recognize and appreciate the work that nurses do.
It would be impossible to list all the things nurses do here at WDG Public Health, but here’s a small sample:
- Give routine and travel immunizations
- Answer questions and counsel parents about raising healthy children
- Promote health through outreach, campaigns and partnerships
- Help shape policy
- Provide birth control, pregnancy tests and counselling
- Test for sexually transmitted infections
- Share information about healthy living
