Hepatitis B, HPV (Gardasil) and Meningococcal (Menactra) vaccines are provided to Grade 7 students annually through the school-based immunization program. Due to the spring 2020 COVID-19 related closure of Ontario schools, the second round of immunizations were not given to 2019/2020 Grade 7 students who attend school in Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph.
Public Health is making automated phone calls to all Grade 7 students on Monday, July 13 to notify them about how to get caught up on immunizations.
