Due to the positive uptake of booster doses in our community, online booking for our COVID-19 Clinics is at capacity and temporarily unavailable.
For a first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, you may drop-in to a vaccination clinic during clinic hours, no appointment needed. Visit wdgpublichealth.ca/drop-ins for more information.
For a third or booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine, please confirm your eligibility at wdgpublichealth.ca/booster-doses.
The following groups are currently being called by public health staff as they become eligible (at least six months following their second dose):
- Adults age 70 (born in 1951) and older
- First Nations, Inuit and Métis adults
- Recipients of a viral vector vaccine or series completed with only viral vector vaccines (I.e., two doses of Astra Zeneca or one dose of Janssen/ Johnson & Johnson)
All eligible health care workers should connect with their employer for more information about how to receive a booster dose. Public Health will be hosting clinics designated for health care workers in December. More information to follow.
Alternatively, you may contact a participating pharmacy or primary care provider.
