Environment Canada has issued a Cold Weather Warning in our region beginning last night and into Saturday morning. Bitterly cold conditions are expected with wind chill values near minus 30 to minus 33. Brisk winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
WDG Public Health would like to remind everyone that extreme cold puts everyone at risk, especially vulnerable populations. It’s important to be prepared for cold conditions and to avoid the serious health effects of extreme cold exposure including hypothermia and frostbite.
