YTC recipes were designed to emphasize fruits and vegetables. YTC recipes vary from easy to difficult. It is best to begin with the easier recipes and then move to the more challenging recipes as youth learn and practice more of the required skills. Recipe Ratings - YTC Recipe Collection 1 can assist you in choosing recipes that will build skills in youth. Recipe ratings for YTC Recipe Collection 2 will be available soon.

There are two recipe books that can be used in your YTC program:

Recipes can be printed and shared with program participants so they can use them at home. Please contact a Registered Dietitian at ytc@wdgpublichealth.ca if you would like to modify these recipes beyond simple substitutions.

Please note, if you choose different recipes other than those provided in these recipe books, you cannot call your program You’re the Chef and may not be eligible for funding or to borrow equipment kits.
