Fall 2023 booster dose recommendations

Staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines offers the best protection from serious illness. As per the Ontario Ministry of Health, effective July 7, 2023, individuals aged five years and older should consider delaying their COVID-19 booster dose until October/November. Receiving a booster dose in the fall will help maximize protection against COVID-19 outcomes when peak circulation of the virus is expected along with other respiratory viruses.

The decision to receive a booster dose earlier may be appropriate for certain individuals based on their unique health status and personal situation. Individuals are encouraged to speak with a healthcare provider to determine if this makes sense for you.

Recommendations for fall booster doses will be available in October.

How to book an appointment

Please note: Online appointment booking will be available when COVID-19 booster clinics are open for booking. Please check back.
