Food recall: Soom tahini products recalled due to possible contamination of Salmonella

The Chef’s Warehouse brand is recalling their Soom brand tahini products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. To get up-to-date information about the recall, visit the CFIA website.

Affected products

  • Soom – Chocolate Sweet Tahini Halva Spread
  • Soom – Sesame Premium Tahini

If you purchased this product

If you find any of the affected products, throw them out or return them to the store. Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

Symptoms of Salmonella infection

Symptoms can include:

  • Sudden onset
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Headache
  • Possible vomit
