POLICY STATEMENT

It is the policy of Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health when circumstances warrant or a medical doctor makes a request, non-routine, chemical water samples will be collected by a Public Health Inspector.

PROCEDURE

  1. Under specific circumstances chemical samples may be collected by Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) and will be submitted to an accredited Analytical Services Laboratory along with the appropriate forms.  Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  2. Chemical water sample collection must be substantiated by appropriate circumstances or by a direct request from a medical doctor.  Homeowners who would like to test for various chemicals can contact an Accredited Laboratory or the PHI may provide them with information on the list of accredited laboratories on the MOE website.
